Poverty is real. Poverty is a reality, might not be yours, but it's one in three people, roughly
663 million, who live in households that are living under extreme poverty, meaning they lack
necessities as basic necessities, for example clean water.
In the foreground of this picture we can see a little boy that is be picking up water form a little pond.
This may be the only place in miles where they can get somewhere near clean water and his
shoes are dirty which may be a sign that he walked a long way from where he lives to here. He
must be picking up water for his family with the water bottle as they may not have any running
water nor potable water. He is also he only thing focused in the picture could mean that he is the
protagonist of the photograph. In the background, I can observe a pile of rubbish, I can distinguish
lots of plastic, paper, clothes… Which represent another worldwide issue, water pollution. It affects
most of the countries that are also in extreme poverty like this picture shows. On both sides, we
can see dry rocks and sand, he may live in a desert.
Lastly, approximately 385 million of that 663 million are children live in extreme poverty. Those
poor children should be able to live the life we're all supposed to live. Let's make the world a better
place and help those in need.
